WHAT IS A CHAMBER OF COMMERCE?
A Chamber of Commerce is a voluntary
organization of individuals and businesses who
band together to advance commercial, financial,
industrial and civic interests of a community.
It is a non-profit, non-partisan organization
which is voluntarily financed. It is managed by
a Board of Directors drawn from the Chamber
membership and is guided by its bylaws.
ITS BASIC PURPOSE:
To retain the private enterprise systems
with free, competitive markets.
To increase business growth and development of
jobs
To assist in the orderly growth and development
of the community and its people.
THE CHAMBER..
It is a voluntary association of
businesses, professional organizations and individuals working to improve
the economic and civic vitality of our community

Is independent of all other organizations
and groups. A· Provides referrals to phone
or mail inquiries from the
Chamber membership list.

Sponsors monthly Mixers, which are
networking opportunities. Mixers are held on the third
Wednesday of the month from 5:30 to 7:30
p.m. The location rotates among various
member businesses.

Sponsors monthly the Mayor's Breakfast which
is held on the fourth Wednesday of the month
at 7:00 a.m.

Sponsors special community events that
generate fun and excitement for Desert Hot Springs.
Works to maintain a close relationship with
City Officials with regards to issue which
affect our community.
